printing e-books
There has been some email today on this topic. To summarize: we would like to keep each other posted on how ebooks are being printed on the main floor public printer.
Kathy reports that she helped a student print a Google ebook before Spring Break. They formatted the print job so that 2 pages appeared on each sheet (in addition to the normal duplexing), thus saving a lot of paper.
Two different community patrons printed ebooks over the weekend.
Printing for community patrons is 10 cents per page (that's 20 cents if you printed on both sides of the sheet). We accept cash. At this time, there is no other payment option (such as setting up an account).
At this time, this policy is governed by the honor system. Mary and I are investigating other options with IT.

Also I wanted to add to this discussion that not all Google Books are printable, only those that have PDF download button.
If this does not show up, often the patron will find that they are printing a blank page.
