Streaming Video Problem

There is an assignment for students of Spanish 306, Kerr Thompsons's course on Spain at the Movies, to watch Pan's Labyrinth, which is available as streaming video from the new media server. However, some students have had difficulty accessing the streaming video due to a variety of possible reasons which are currently being investigated. However, the deadline to watch the film is tomorrow so students may come to the desk for assistance. Fortunately, we think it's a small class. Tim and Circulation are currently working on a contingency plan. Please post more information here once that plan has been decided or you hear more details on the situation. Thanks.

I'm copying the info that Mary emailed to referencedesk because it contains more details:

--------------------------

We are currently engaged in a pilot project of streaming reserve video in Angel for two Spanish Classes (First Year Seminar -195 and Spanish 306)

If anyone at the public service desks reports any problems viewing these film:

• Please refer them directly to Tim Sestrick - tsestric@gettysburg.edu or 717-337-7045
• Tell them they can view all streaming video on the library computers –no problem!
• Try to get as much information from students so we can keep working on issues and send info to Tim.
• Last resort they can check on hard copy from reserves.

Mary and Tim
