computer woes

Computer problems!

1. Machine #8 in main floor lab is going to the black DOS screen and is not able to start Windows. I put the orange "out of order" sticky note on the monitor.
2. Stand-up public machine at the ref desk (the one closest to the doors) is not allowing community patrons to use the USB key. At this point I think it's behaving okay if you have a GC login - it only misbehaves with the USB key. We tried 2 keys and both did not function. I did not put the "out of order" sign up because it appears that GC students can still use this station successfully.
