STATA

I just got a question at the reference desk about STATA, which is a statistical analysis package used by some poly sci classes. It is NOT supported by IT. Nobody knows how to use it (but Sharon licenses it for the lab loads!). It is more specialized than SPSS and SAS (which Sharon does know how to use).

Anyway, I was delighted to discover that we have an ebook called The STATA Survival Guide in ebrary. Just do a keyword search in MUSCAT on “stata” and it comes right up. Could be the magic bullet if you get more students from this class – the ones I helped were thrilled.
