Printer “offline”

A friendly reminder (because it just happened to me for the first time this semester)…

If the printer says “offline,” usually that means there was a network hiccup.  Turn the printer off and then turn it back on again.  Usually this allows the printer to reconnect just fine.

Jobs in the print queue should churn out just fine (no need to resend them).

The printer itself will say “offline” on the digital readout, but you will also see it in the printer queue box – in that blue bar across the top with the printer name on it (REFERENCEFS9530DN on labserv).
