Adding non-library public printers

We’ve been helping students map drivers to the three public printers in the library (and we have an awesome handout with instructions). But what if students want to add drivers for the other public printers in Glatfelter, McCreary, Plank, or the Digital Center?

On a PC, there is an easy way to browse for them (sorry, this doesn’t work for Macs):

1. Go to the Start/Windows button
2. Enter \\labserv\ in the search box
3. Double click on any printer to add it.

IT has an outdated list of public printer IP addresses at http://www.gettysburg.edu/dotAsset/0bf6982f-25f5-4f3b-9f99-5553ca410efe.pdf. I’ve asked them to update it. The IP addresses are probably fine, but the room numbers in Glatfelter are wrong. Following the renovation, public labs in Glatfelter are in 11, 14, and 201 – not 201, 203, 204 as the handout says.

The Language Resource Center (LRC) no longer has a public printer.
